If you’re serious about building real, lasting friendships, there’s one thing you absolutely must do:
Show up.
Yep. Two little words… that might just be the biggest challenge of all.
In Day 4 of the Make More Friends Challenge, I share a personal story about how resistance nearly stopped me from going to a Christmas party I had been so excited to be invited to. I didn’t know many people who were going to be there. My friend bailed. My fuzzy robe was calling. And trust me…resistance was LOUD.
But I showed up anyway… and I’m so glad I did.
That night was filled with laughter, meaningful conversations, and a moment where I was able to encourage another woman in a way she really needed. And I would’ve missed all of that if I let my comfort zone win.
So today’s reminder is simple but powerful: Push through the resistance. Show up.
Even when you’re tired. Even when it’s awkward. Even when you’d rather cancel. Because what’s waiting on the other side might be exactly what you (and someone else) need.

Your session today just pushed me to “show up” at a neighborhood bunko party where I only know 1 other person & need to get more involved with. Thanks for the kick in the *utt!
Way to go Susan! That’s amazing! I bet you had a great time.
