I got more than I bargained for when I set out to make a gingerbread house for my daughter’s birthday. Nothing was going right!
My daughter kept telling me I was doing great, but it didn’t feel like it.
I was getting pretty frustrated, and even a little down on myself (which, these days, isn’t like me at all)…but then I stopped myself, thought it through, and found another way forward.
Things turned out amazing, and my daughter was over the moon happy!
Later I realized there’s something surprising my gingerbread house adventure has in common with entrepreneurship.

Before going shopping for kitchen equipment, make sure that you are familiar with all of the health, building, fire, and other codes of your local area. Remember, local codes vary; the regulations you’re familiar with many different in different locations.
Natasha, This was a great comparison to building a business!!! I so appreciate your flexibility and determination which encourages me, even when things don’t go the way as planned!
Shar,
Okay sister friend how … please tell me how you got a photo on your comment section? Even my husband who is a computer whiz could not tell me how to do it. It is said you have not because you ask not. So, I am asking. ??? Will you please share with me so I can learn?
Thank you.

Natasha,
I really liked this illustration and laughed at how cute, funny and true it is. However hopefully you realized you can eat the gingerbread house/cookies. The breaking of the pieces bit by bit and eating your creation through the month helps reinforce the fun and feelings you had in the experience of creating it. It engages more of those senses.
Hopefully next time you will have just as much fun and create a great tradition that, like your business gets better over time. ???
