It wasn’t until early adulthood that I realized entrepreneurship was a thing.

Setting my own hours? Working from home on a laptop? Taking vacations when I felt like it?

Sounded like a dream come true!

My first foray into entrepreneurship was direct sales. It was rocky at first, but I took an unconventional approach to it and did really well…

…until the company I represented pulled the rug out from under me.

After that, I decided direct sales weren’t for me. I still love them, but my entrepreneurial path took me elsewhere.

Even so, direct sales taught me one life-transforming lesson that I use–and teach!–to this day.
