I get lots of questions from my webinars and blog.

One of the most frequent questions is, “Hey, Natasha, do I need to do paid advertising to be successful in my online business?”

I love this topic of paid advertising because I happened to be married to a paid advertising expert. My husband Rich has been doing paid advertising for many years and does all the ads for our business.

What I can tell you about the difference between paid advertising and free advertising is this: Can you build a business using free advertising? Yes. You can. The question is two fold: (1) How serious are you about your business? (2) How quickly do you want to get results?

You can use free advertising methods but think of it this way…

You could be standing in Los Angeles trying to get to get to New York. You could start walking. There are roads available and you could walk from LA to New York.

But is that the most effective way to get there? Would you perhaps instead wish to invest in, say, a plane ticket to get there in a fraction of the time?

That’s how I view paid ads. It will help you get to where you’re going in a fraction of the time.

A lot of people will say, “Natasha, I want to wait. I want to make sure everything’s perfect before I run paid ads.”

Guess what? When you run paid advertising, you’re going to get data back very quickly. You’re going to find out if your market is interested in what you are selling, if your headlines are captivating enough and if your free offer compelling enough.

You can get that data super fast by paying for traffic to come to your website.

Quite frankly, wouldn’t you rather know now as opposed to six months from now if your offer is going to work?

Any serious business owner that wants to get results quickly needs to plan to invest in paid advertising.

Of course, there is a learning curve. But there are people that you can hire to do paid ads for you or you can hire a coach to help you or you can purchase training courses that will teach you how to do paid ads. There are lots of ways to do this so that you are not all by yourself trying to figure it out from scratch.

Overall, I suggest to all of my clients that they should absolutely put a budget in place for paid ads so that they can get results much quicker in their business.
