Are you focused on the totally wrong things in your business?

The answer is probably “yes” and is exactly why you aren’t getting the results you want in your business!

Over the past 12 months, I’ve been working with a group of select clients to help them get massive results in their business.

A part of our coaching program involves monthly accountability sheets submitted to me. Through these, I am able to see what my clients are doing on a monthly basis for their business.

Over the past year I have discovered that there are 5 mistakes most people are making–and you’re probably making them too–that are directly effecting their ability to get the massive results that their looking for in their business.

You curious?

Mistake #1 is failing to respect your business. (Letting little things such as “life getting in the way” and other similar excuses to throw them off their game.)

Mistake #2 is a failure to be consistent building your business.

Mistake #3 is playing business owner instead of actually being a business owner.

Now…

Mistake #4 is not focusing on the one thing that every really business owner focuses on…making a profit.

You, as a business owner (unless you are running a non-profit), are in business to make a profit.

The reason that you want to make a profit may be because you want time freedom or financial freedom or to impact the world in a positive way.  Those are all great reasons, but at the end of the day you’re not going to be able to keep the doors  open if you are not making a profit.

Here’s what I’ve found that a lot of people are doing…and you’re probably doing it too…

They spend way too much time on the “training” element. They are so immersed in learning everything that they fail to take action.

or

They start taking actions like building a website or setting up technical stuff or creating products that make them feel like they are doing the right things in their business but they actually aren’t focused on income-producing activities.

To be focused on income-producing activities, you’ve got to get out there and hustle!

You’ve got to be focused on following-up with prospects to close sales. If you hate selling, you need to hire a sales team. If you don’t want to hire a sales team, you need to make sure you have a system that has a sales team built in that will make the sales for you.

At some point in your business you need to be focusing hefty amount of time on making sales and generating income.

I get it…

You’re going to set up a website and that website is going to get traffic and eventually you’re going to make sales.

Well, that is a really long, drawn-out process and you need to shorten that process.

Consider outsourcing the thing you aren’t good at! For example, if you don’t know how to build a website, don’t spend 2 months trying to do it! You need to find someone to build one for you or find a system that already has a website built.

You focus on making the sales!

Make sure that no less that 50% of the time you spend every day working in your business is focused on actually generating income because at the end of the day it is all about profit.

You can’t make the impact that you want to make on the world if your business isn’t open.
