Rich and I frequently get emails from people that say something along the lines of…

“Hi, I’m Bob.  I am seriously considering purchasing your product and starting a business.  I really need to make more money.  But first, I need to know, will this work for me?  Can I really make enough to cover my living expenses?”

“I’ll buy your program if you can guarantee that I’ll make my money back.”

Let me answer these questions once and for all…

A business is not the same thing as a job.

In a salaried job, you do the task assigned to you, and you collect a paycheck. Like clockwork. (Hopefully)

No risk…

Well, actually it’s the illusion of no risk considering the crazy unemployment rate and the large amount of corporate downsizing!  But when you own your own business, there are NO guarantees.

Your business depends 100% on you.

The decisions you make.  Your business acumen.  Your existing talents, skills and abilities.  Your work ethic.

So to all of those people writing us asking us to “guarantee” their success…

The answer is “No.”

Anyone promising you success in your business (unless they are offering you a salaried job) is full of B.S.

So puh-lease, quit falling for stupid scams with people promising you boatloads of money with little to no effort.  Quit buying into hype-y sales messages, when you KNOW that to be successful in business it takes work, skill, perseverance and a whole lot of guts.

And if you do buy into stupid scams and hype-y sales messages- own up to it and don’t blame others. The blame game is lame.

(How’s that for an awesome little rhyme?)  LOL  ;)

While I’m on my soapbox…for all of the people asking us if “they can REALLY make money with our products and services.”

The answer is:   “It depends.”

  • How much money do you make right now?
  • How much money do you want to make?
  • What are your existing skillsets?
  • Can you turn on a computer?  If you can’t turn on a computer, are you willing to learn how to do so?
  •  Are you a quitter?
  • Do you have money to invest in your education and the tools necessary to build your business?
  • Are you willing to get help from experts instead of trying to figure it out alone?
  • Are you coachable?
  • Are you disciplined enough to work on your business constantly, instead of “trying it out for 3, 6, 9 months?”
  • Are you willing to continue to work hard even if you see very few results at first?

Bottom line…your success depends on YOU.

As for whether the “Internet Lifestyle” dream is a reality…

The model of starting a business online, and being able to work where you want, when you want, and with whom you want (and get paid well at the same time) is 100% attainable.

I should know, because after all that’s the life Rich and I live now.  But it wasn’t all lollipops and candy canes over the past 6 years.

Was it easy to get where we are?  No.

Did we work our tails off to get here?  Yes.

Is there a formula that we followed?  Yes.

Will I share it with you?  Yes.

I firmly believe that following someone who has gotten the results you want to achieve is one of the best ways for you to reduce the time it takes to reach your goals.

That’s why Rich and I spent 24 months researching and testing what strategies work and don’t work for building a six-figure business online.

Then, once we got our blueprint in place, we started sharing it with our private coaching students.  Once they starting generating an income online too…I decided to invest nearly 6 months putting the information together in a home study course called Branded: 100% Authentic.

Branded is our blueprint for making a sustainable six-figure income online without hype.  But before you decide if Branded is a right fit for you, check out my free 4-part video series to help you get on the right track, by clicking here.

Regardless of whether you use our blueprint for building an authentic brand online, or not- just remember….

Your Success Depends on You.  Period.

I would love to hear from you! Comment below and let me know if you agree (or not). If you think this article would be helpful to a fellow entrepreneur, please “share it!”.

Cheering you on to massive success!

    • Thanks Kim! ;) You’re an AWESOME student! So coachable, talented and just all-around fabulous!

  1. I will tell you that there are days when the niggly thought of am I really going to have success online tries to sabotagemy determination to do so. I can tell you that if I hadn’t found mentors like Natasha and Rich…my success would have taken a lot longer. It’s been 5 months of steady work and I’m about to post a Free Offer on my site, have my email sequence started and am seeing how the Business Strategy forms. I know I’m a distance from retiring from my job…but I sure look forward to the days of working this thing full time! And yes it takes work, a lot of work, work when everyone else is playing. But in the end, you get to control your timetable.

If you’re looking for the real deal in Business Mentors accept the offer on this page.

  2. There is nothing like taking responsibility for you own life. One of the best ways I can see doing that is by working for yourself. In that vein, you must also take responsibility for your own successes and failures.

The only thing someone else can do is give you encouragement and make the tools available for you. It’s up to you as to what you do with them. Is success guaranteed? No. But you can be pretty sure failure is if you don’t even try.

  3. WOW!!! Natasha you are such a powerful speaker, mentor and writer. I was just yesterday watching an interview with you, Rich, Ann, and I think it was “AskJim” in 2011. In that interview you had just been asked by Ann to join her special team of 200 or so. You were a bit timid there, but now to see and hear the changes over just the last two years – let alone the last six … it is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G !!!!

Are there any guarantees – YES. One day we will die. Everyrything else we get to “Make Happen”. Succeed or Fail … it is all on US.

Bravo on your success … and mine too as I move forward too.

This business (Yes – It is a Business) is just like all others I have ever worked for. Someone is the “BOSS” and someone is the “WORKER”. Today, I am both. If I want to make money … I (the worker) need to get busy working harder. Nobody makes money … unless something gets sold … end of story.

Loved this comment you made Natasha:

“And if you do buy into stupid scams and hype-y sales messages- own up to it and don’t blame others. The blame game is lame.”

For sure that is going to be a VIRAL quote.

Love what you do … keep it up.
